What is to happen to The Winnings? Is to be pulled down? If so what are they going to build? Should it be pulled down? If it is pulled down I wonder if it is for houses. Does anyone have any ideas what to use the ground for? Dont be shy Put your Answers HERE

It is suppose to be knocked down and flats built and they have also bought the big house next to the winning as well to make the building bigger. It is an eye sore, one less pub in the village but the way things are going with the Working Mens club, that might end up in the same sorry state

The Winning's is no more. Flattened though it did take the developers slightly longer than first anticipated as a rare species of bats was discovered in the cellar and thus delays caused. The Bats have now gone and so has the Winnings. I will never get used to the new spectacle that I see at Ushaw Moor crossroads now I think someone will crash there soon you just carn't help but take your eyes of the road and look for the Winning's. d**n shame to the Winning's had one of the best snooker halls in Durham. I used to attend snooker tournaments every weekend as a youngster. No alcohol was served to us kids just hours of nail biting snooker. This was during the times that Lawrence Thompson ran the Winnings. Since then the Winnings has slowly declined. Shame the kids nowadays have nowhere like that to go to.
