Well, life for us is getting better, although some would argue, that there is still not enough for the youth to do, even with the re-generation

There use to loads of things to do in Ushaw but what is there to do these days. The village has cleaned itself up a bit, if we give the kids something to do or organise things to happen, it could get better. Willing to help with anything!

Hi stbedes, well Ushaw Moor has been changing recently as have all the former mining villages across County Durham. New housing developments more shops and more to come.
I think the biggest positive thing I can say about Ushaw Moor is the kind hearted and friendly community.

Are the new houses terraced or individual houses, Paul ? Tell me, also, is Bear Park pricey? ARe there some council houses in that area? Also, is it still cold there - a friend of mine that I am trying to get to join here says it's still cold -

The new houses are mixed some semi-detached and some detached, prices are pretty over-priced I would say, you get small rooms for 150 grand. Bearpark same price as here really. Yes council houses are available although a long waiting list. Yes it's still cold am sick of the weather when is it going to get warmer, not normally this bad, although I did have a canny day out at Wylam up the Tyne valley yesterday with the kids, was quite mild.

Well, I hope you won't mind, Paul, but I emailed this Forum's information to the library in Esh Winning and asked if they would put it on the bulletin board - have you put it about here and there? Someone told me the houses at Bearpark were pricy - anyway, I think I'd like Ushaw Moor better. Tell me where you think is the nicest place to live in the village (that isn't expensive). Where are the council houses -
